Troubleshooting and Tips

Always ensure you are printing on the correct side on your sublimation paper. If the design on the mug looks very faded or 'matt' in appearance this can often be the problem.

Since this mug is made out of polymer plastic rather than ceramic the heating process in the heat press can deform the mug if you do not insert the metal insert or puck before closing the press.
A medium pressure is required for this item and you might need to adjust the pressure on your heat press to prevent too much pressure being applied.

Please use the times and temperatures on our site as they are tested. If you are getting significant differences then you may be overheating the item causing the ink to come back off the polymer mug.
After pressing peel the sublimation paper off the mug immediately. Another alternative is to dunk the mug in water (room temperature or slightly colder) and then remove the mug. This will stop the sublimation process and also prevent any blurring or shadows.
